PODCAST 46: Sinbad of the Seven Seas & Yor [Golden Turkey Edition]

This week Forest & Cory share their thoughts on a couple golden turkeys of old. Forest shares his childhood memories of renting Sinbad of the Seven Seas with Lou Ferrigno, while Cory covers Yor: The Hunter from the Future, starring Reb Brown.

The guys also talk about their most recently completed power hours. There is nothing quite like taking a shot of beer every minute for an hour while being accompanied by Troma boobs and Ric Flair. WOOOOOOO!

Fun fact, Lou Ferrigno and Reb Brown both starred in two movies together, Cage, and Cage 2: The Arena of Death.

I can't believe you didn't mention the two quotable lines from Yor. "Damn talking box!" And the best line to use whenever you're trying to get through a bad movie, "We will need a lot more hemp before we're through." Plus there was that gymnastic/acrobatic scene near the end of the movie.

Yor is available on DVD: http://www.amazon.com/Yor-Hunter-Future-Reb-Brown/dp/B005IX3C5E/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1368391484&sr=1-1&keywords=yor

Since you guys are talking about a Reb Brown movie, one of my favorite bad actors, I have to mention what I consider to be his best 2 movies.

1. Strike Commando, probably the greatest so-bad-it's-good movie ever made. All you have to do is either watch the trailer, or the Disneyland death speech scene, and you will be convinced.

2. Death of a Soldier, a surprisingly good film that gets a decent performance out of Reb Brown. It's a true story about a controversial event that initiated changes in court-marshal protocol that not many people know about. It's criminal that this movie is not only not well known, but also not on DVD. Oh yeah, and it has this scene in it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHTRAUTCELs
