PODCAST 80: Come and See & Curse of Chucky

This week Forest and Cory ring in the New Year with... well, your run of the mill episode. Saving the fanfare for podcasts to come, Forest shares his thought on Come and See, a film about the horrors of war during the Eastern Front of WWII. Cory covers Curse of Chucky, the sixth installment of the Child's Play/Chucky franchise.

It's been a pretty slow week for the dynamic horror duo, so they don't stray too far from the films at hand. However, there was a Slaughter Film Staff meeting last week and the gang is constructing a year long schedule or events. So keep that in mind and look forward to more Netflix Movie Nights, videos and a few other goodies us their sleeves.

I studied Russian for my Bachelor's, and COME AND SEE was one of the movies we reviewed. Something I liked was how they made the kid age by the end of the film, showing what his experiences did to him.

Another spooky Russian movie is STALKER, which really isn't outright horror but more psychological. The original short novel is ROADSIDE PICNIC; it's worth a read.

Keep up the good work!
