PODCAST 118: Demon Wind & The Battery [Gift Giving Edition]

This week Forest relives his childhood frustration with amazing VHS cover art that tricked him into renting crap movies. The suspect in question; Demon Wind. Cory shares his thoughts on and strongly recommends the indie zombie film, The Battery, recently released by Shout Factory.

The gang warmly receives The Last Night on Earth board game via fan mail from a long time listener, Gex. They cover the excitement they share for the remake of The Town That Dreaded Sundown and Mad Max: Fury Road. And also, Penny Dreadful and Speed.

Also, have you seen the Chartreuse Goose or another movie about an alien woman humping a severed hand? No?

My favorite old game is STARFLIGHT, a DOS space simulator from the late 80's. The creators managed to program an engaging storyline, interesting alien races and an entire galaxy of planets to explore on just 2 floppy disks.

I found this Youtube channel that has a few clips from Chartreuse Goose.

As far as the other movie about closet potatoes and severed hand sex...I got nothing.

Also, I'd like to make a SLAUGHTER FILM movie poster, but my skills are so bad it'd probably melt your faces like you stared into the Ark of the Covenant.

Another VHS only movie recommendation: Deadly Prey. A backyard budget so-bad-it's-good movie. It's also a bit more entertaining than you would expect it to be.
