Regarding Harbinger Down: Yeah those closing door sound effects got irritating almost to the point of hilarity. I liked some of the special effects, but overall, as much as it pains me to say it considering I met the director in person and know how hard he worked his ass off to make the film, the movie sucks.

Anyway, watched all the Friday the 13th movies up to Jason X when he goes to space. Have to admit, it seems like all the even numbered Friday the 13th films are the good ones, and all the odd numbered ones are the bad ones. Here's a breakdown of how good I thought they all were, currently:
6 > 10 > 8 > 4 > 2 > 5 > 1 > 7 > 3

Part 6 was the best because it was the perfect satire of all the Friday the 13th films up to that point. It wasn't the first slasher film to be a self-parody (I think The Abominable Dr. Phibes takes that honor), but it certainly did beat Scream to the punch.

I liked part 8 more than the average person. It's so stupid that you just have to laugh at some of the scenes in that movie. Plus it had the awesome heavy metal chick (who, while she did get an awesome metal death, died way too fucking early in that movie). Plus there was that cool boxing match on the rooftop.

Part 4 is probably the most solid serious Friday film out of all of them when it comes to being a 80s slasher film that takes itself completely seriously. It was the first one to get a big bulky intimidating Jason right, had some nice kills, and probably has the most sex and nudity out of all of them.

As far as I'm concerned, there is no motherfucking part 9.

Really irritates the shit out of me seeing how the MPAA started to fuck with those movies as the years went on, especially in part 7. Those cocksuckers. Here's a link that gives the details as to what they did cut, in all of them, even part 1; be warned, you will get pissed right the fuck off, especially knowing that some of these scenes are lost forever:

Anyway,some last bullet points:
* Friday the 13th The Game Kickstarter project is funded and over.
* MST3K is coming back and being funded on Kickstarter. Yes, THAT MST3K, not Rifftrax.
* Don't be a dead fuck.
