PODCAST 234: Gremlins 2 & Silent Night, Bloody Night

This week Forest shares his thoughts on a Joe Dante satirical classic, Gremlins 2 - which he mistook for a Christmas themed film. Cory reviews Silent Night, Bloody Night - a film that pretends to be holiday themed but is actually about pedophilia... yep.

The Horror Duo also chat about preparing to share Christmas with their families. Forest talks about Nocturnal Animals, now in theaters and Cory hunts down more 2016 films to help contribute to his "Best of 2016". All this and the guys react to the re-imagined version of the Christmas classic Baby It's Cold Outside.

About SILENT NIGHT, BLOODY NIGHT, I thought that the male lead looked like Robert Davi from some angles and Benicio Del Toro from others. Or in other words, he was a one-man LICENSE TO KILL.

I would love to see you both take on the 90s Godzilla movies, known to most as the “Heisei” movies and to others as the “Versus” series. I’m also waiting for Forest to do some Brucesploitation to make up for the gaffe in episode 106.

It's the "Heisei" Godzilla series goddamnit! It's the greatest godzilla series ever done!

And Forest, you didn't review a Christmas movie? You son of a bitch! I'll never forgive you for this!

...

Unless you review the greatest Christmas movie of all time. Oh no, it's not Die Hard. You may think it is, but it isn't. You're forgetting the other most awesome Christmas action movie of all time. It's patriotic, it's cheesy, it's ridiculous, but it's extremely fucking fun. It's the one Canon film that set the 2nd highest record for the most VHS tapes sold by that company, only surpassed by Gone With The Wind. It's THAT epic. It has Chuck Norris and a bunch of rocket launchers. Invasion USA. And yeah, I'm making the claim that this movie is better than Die Hard!

Ah, right, if my above argument and "guilting you into watching it" technique didn't work, you've gotta at least see Den of Geek analyze the amazing poster for that movie:
