PODCAST 239: Dreamcatcher & Decoys [Arctic Weather Edition]

This week the Horror Duo embrace the arctic winter weather by discussing a pair of cold wintry alien flicks. Forest reviews the Stephen King adapted Dreamcatcher, complete with an unhealthy dose of "taco shits". Cory teaches everyone just why you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover with the indie Decoys.

Forest celebrated Friday the 13th by watching Jason films and drink beer. Cory explains how he got involved in playing an extra in the soon to be filmed Mindhunter Netflix original series. They also chat about a possible Fright Night 3, Tales From the Crib and another season of The X-Files to likely come in 2018.

Regarding Enemy's ending, my take is that Jake Gyllenhaal is fucking insane. Sort of. In that he only imagined his alter ego and alter-girlfriend, and has this subconscious belief that women entrap him like a spider's web does to flies, hence the spider symbolism. A subconscious belief that women prevent him from being free to do what he wants, or something like that. Plus his reaction at the end, it's like, "Oh, crap. Now I gotta deal with this spider-lady's bullshit all over again." You know, like how Sam Kinison joked that women would detach your dick and keep it locked away from you if they could.

So, with that out of the way, have you guys seen Patriots Day?
