PODCAST 243: Succubus & Incubus [Demon of Love Edition]

This week the Horror Duo take on a pair of sexy night time demon flicks. Forest shares his thoughts in his first Jess Franco film, Succubus, also known as Necronomicon...for some reason. Cory reviews a film starring THE William Shatner and was lost for over 30 years, Incubus.

Also Forest volunteers at Ales for Sails, and drives on over to Cleveland for a screening of the grindhouse styled The Love Witch. Cory discusses how the new Stranger Things season 2 trailer cleverly gave fans nothing important to talk about. All this and; What is to be expected from a Castlevania Netflix series?

The plot for SUCCUBUS seems suspiciously similar to Franco’s own NIGHT HAS A THOUSAND DESIRES from 1984. That would make sense, since Franco frequently recycled plots from his own movies, like how his 1970s JACK THE RIPPER movie is essentially a remake of THE AWFUL DR. ORLOFF from the previous decade.

Forest said that we can tune into Slaughter Film for news and reviews about Superhero movies, but I call shenanigans on that! There are two episodes in which you talk about SUICIDE SQUAD, but I heard nary a peep out of you two about DR. STRANGE. And that’s the better movie! Has your Marvelitis caused you to skip this movie while you continue watching DC movies just because of your human rubberneck tendencies to stare at train wrecks?
