PODCAST 256: Maniac Cop & The Stuff

This week the Horror Duo push Shudder to it's limits for week three of Monsters and Madmen Month. Forest discusses the socially charged slasher, Maniac Cop while Cory covers the consumerist satyr The Stuff - both film by legendary filmmaker Larry Cohen.

Also, Forest gushes over James Gunn's newest film Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2, while Cory remains very unenthused after seeing Rings. Late in the show, things turn dark when Cory discusses sealing a living woman in an attempt to create a better Real Doll.

Here in Brazil, state and federal tax laws require companies to specify the ingredients in certain fiscal documents. Coca Cola actually prefers to pay the fine for not divulging its formula rather than let it fall into the hands of bureaucrats, who would surely sell its secret to competitors for their own profit.

I don't think you guys have reviewed "The Thing From Another World" yet, which includes a monster and a mad-scientist.

I too loved Guardians 2 and enjoyed it better than the first. To Forest's comment, Joss Whedon was also the writer/director of the Avengers movies.

Well, we've lost Powers Boothe and Chris Cornell of Soundgarden.
