PODCAST 316: Creature From the Black Lagoon & Sharknado 5

This week the Horror Duo return to summer creature features. Forest begins a Gill Man series, beginning with the iconic, and most obvious, Creature From the Black Lagoon. Cory returns to the American tradition that is, Sharknado with the fifth installment of this questionable series, Sharknado 5: Global Swarming.

Forest discusses how impactful the Mr. Roger's documentary Won't You Be My Neighbor? is and just how important he and his show is to developing young people. Cory chats about receiving Video Tape Terror, sent by filmmaker Nick Mendoza, who kindly slapped a quote from Cory's review of the film on the back of the newly released edition of it's DVD. Slaughter Film has it's first pull-quote! All this and they complain like old people about people and their damn fireworks.

So, what are your plans for October, now that you've more or less covered all the original Universal monsters and some modern remake of them?

I'm looking forward to Forest reviewing the entire Creature trilogy. Good work.

Two deaths:

1. Steve Ditko

2. Tab Hunter - He was in POLYESTER opposite Divine.

What the hell kind of shit is this about Sean Hannity talking shit about Mr. Rogers? I'm going to need to see some evidence of this, because it looks like any video footage there is is blocked by PBS (fuck you PBS, that was a Fox News thing, if anyone's going to block it, it will be them, then I'll bash them for blocking it). From what audio I have heard, I question if it was Hannity who said it, or if it wasn't being said in sarcasm.

Mr. Rogers is awesome. He was the victor of The Ultimate Showdown (of ultimate destiny)!

I knew your Sharknado review would be so fucking ridiculous that we all couldn't help but laugh our asses off. The franchise is so successful they could probably quote you guys saying, "I hate it!" on the DVD cover and more people would buy that shit. Speaking of which, congrats on that Indie film quote.

Trying to figure out if the Sharknado 5 review is more or less entertaining than your House 2 review. And I think I'll pass on Sharknado 5. I may be a masochist, but more along the lines of taking a whipping while tied up as opposed to getting a cactus dildo shoved up my ass.
