So, did Forest ever watch ROCK N’ ROLL HIGH, which suggests that Joey Ramone could be a teen heartthrob?
Also, Cory asked about who sent the Futurians in GODZILLA VS. KING GHIDORAH. In the subtitled version I owned, the character of Emi Kano says that she and her colleagues were part of an organization of militant socialists, and that the time machine they were using was actually stolen. The movie in part was supposed to be a reflection on Japan’s economic future, coming at the tail-end of the huge economic boom that Japan enjoyed during the 1980s. And that reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from THE CRITIC:

Since the two of you are praising old school practical effects almost once a week now, how do the early 90s practical effects of Godzilla hold up to the CGI of your average made-for-SyFy giant animal film?
Also, Anna Nakagawa, who plays Emi Kano, and Koichi Kawakita, who was the special effects director of the Heisei films, both passed away in late 2014.
Surprised you didn't mention how cheesy the android in that Godzilla movie was, mainly when he's chasing that car down.
